Hey Everyone!

I’m glad to be blogging over the summer, id love to update you all about my summer adventures! I’ve been camping, having sleepovers, swimming, playing with friends,and spending time with my family. The first part of my summer was very ugly out side and now the sun is finally coming out. I can now say “ ITS SUMMER“. Last week I bought these amazing liquid stuff that you mix with crushed ice and some juice and blend them together. After you would pour them into these special glasses. Then you can sit out into hot hot sun, and enjoy these drinks. The flavours are… Creamsicle, Strawberry,and Lime! I have at least 2 or 3 a day. their that good!

Today all the grade 7′s in my school are going Camping. We’re staying in Cabins by a lake, and I’m really excited! I’m kind of hoping to see a bear because I’ve never really seen one in person. I mostly have all my friends coming but I got like two of my best friends that are in grade 6, so they wont be coming. (Celina and Josee)

Last night I packed up my bags and rolled up my sleeping bag, placed it by the door. I might of over packed, I tend to do that! ;D

Last week  my class and I went to the Vancouver Aquarium. We drove, took a ferry, bus, and walked. My class slept by the Belugas Whales! As soon as we got to Vancouver we jumped onto a bus and drove to Stanley Park, then walked to the aquarium and settled down. After that we rounded up and went out to see everything even were its just SAFE ONLY. Then we ate and went back on to see more. Next we set up camp so we could fall asleep. Boys and girls were split up into different parts of the room. Most of the girls stayed up VERY late till like 3 or 4am.

When we all woke up in the morning we packed up and went up stares to eat breakfast. After we ate we go sent to look at whatever we wanted but then at 8:15 we got to go to the gift shop, and I bought something for my Mom,Dad,Brother,and Grandma. As soon as 8:45 hit we rounded everyone up and walked down to the bus stop, we were almost late! Then we say our bus’s pull up. We hopped on and drove for about 45 minutes and got off the bus to board the ferry.

On our way back I drove back with Shania,and Celina! We got back to school about 2:15pm, and we were all falling asleep when we got back. Cause we got into bed at like 2 and couldn’t fall asleep. But now that I’m back now on Friday Ill be heading back to the island to visit my auntie! When I’m there Ill be shopping and going to two car shows!

Hello Everyone!

Last night some witnessed 1994 all over again in the streets of Vancouver. After the Stanly Cup game with Canucks playing the Bosten a riot started on Gorges street in down town Vancouver. Many broke windows to stores and flipped car then lit them on fire. Lots of people were hurt and put in danger. I herd from the mayor of Vancouver who said that this riot was planned and that that the Canucks losing was just a excuse to get drunk and wreck the city. To them its just all a joke but to all of the B.C people who care were all looked at to clean up and fix everything. We are real Canucks fans!

In the Stadium the Canucks fans that were left were supporting the Boston team when they got the cup even when we lost, but were all happy that the Canucks made it this far. It means so much to me as a Brittish Colombian that we are looked at as the Canadian team and not sorry losers. We shouldn’t be mad, but were have the right to be disapointed in the Canucks for not playing their hardest. But the riot shouldn’t of happend even if the Canucks won the riot still would of happend.

Their was 140 people sent the the Emergence room last night from 9:00 to about 4:00am. Lots of them were sick from the smokey bombs but some were stabbed or had bad head problems from falling or getting pushed. Some people were hurt from getting into fights or just staying ot support the riot.

This morning many woke up to a wrecked city. When a cleaning crew showed up they saw that some Vancouver citizens were coming to help clean up their streets and help re-bulid some of this mess.Its going to cost a couple millions to fix all of the windows.

I can’t wait to see the city of Vancouver cleaned up and all the dangages fixed, with the ones to started/ planned it in jail or got changes agensit them! British Columbia is the home of the Vancouver Canucks and many people. Its a safe place!

Please enjoy my comic. It’s all about the Enviroment and how our landfills are full. Soon it’s going to be trailing into our streets. This comic is suppose to show how much we should be recycling because we already have to much garbage! Our lang fill is almost full and a city near here is landfill is totally full so their moving their garbage to our landfill. To make this cartoon I went to a website called ToonDoo. I’ts a really cool website that is VERY easy to make comics on!

Here’s a book that I’ve read and think is VERYinteresting. I like how its got lots of action and makes you think and figure things out. This book is all about mystery. This series is called Haddix. Book 1 is called Found. The Arthurs name is Margret Peterson. I hope you Enjoy my book trailer and get the chance to read this series!

This week is Challenge 2 and its all about leaving your Digital foot print! I’m pretty late getting this posted right? When you go to a website or some place on the computer where you buy items and you need to leave personal info. You need to watch how much you give out! because no matter where you leave it watch what your giving out. When I join or register  myself in program  I’m not watching what I’m doing, I should be because when you go to a website or leave your info there its ALWAYSgoing to be there! No matter what even if you delete it. Its never gone! Heres some of the websites and programs I’ve left info on…

I don’t vist a lot of websites but those are the ones I’ve given personal info to! When I got to google and typed in someone I knows name it would pop up a website or something they’ve signed up for like Facebook or Twitter, it would show their account. Also pictures of them! I searched my friend Shaniaand her Facebook and twitter poped up. Ive searched more of my friends but not all them show up cause they have to have at least a year on those account to pop up on google. Please Watch where you leave your foot print, be Savy!

Pink Shirt Day is coming up on Wednesday February 23. Everyone remember to wear your pink shirt! Be proud to support the kids and parents who are being bullied and need help.

Pink Shirt Daywas created by a few boys in a Nova Scotia high school because they saw how a boy who wore a pink shirt to school got bullied. He was in grade 9. So they decided that the next day they would get as many people as possible to wear pink shirts to school and they even brought extras for the kids who forgot. They e-mailed, posted their idea on facebook, or chatted with everyone they knew to tell them to wear pink. When the boy who got bullied came to school the next day he saw everyone wearing pink and he was probably really relieved and happy.

I feel that when people get bullied it’s not necessarily because of something they did. Maybe the bully has problems at home or with school and they maybe just don’t know how to let out their feelings. I’m upset that people are treated differently. We should all be valued the same. Never just watch a person being bullied. Step in and help. Be a part of  the solution!

These are different kinds of bullying…

Cyber bullying is when someone bullies you online though email, Facebook/Twitter wall posts, chat on Facebook/Twitter.

Verbal bullying is when someone thows mean or hurtful words at you or treatens you in some way. 

Social bullying is when a large group of people bully someone at the same time or trying to get other people to agree with treating them differently. This is like gossip, excluding or isolating someone from a group, telling secrets or just a lot of people saying hurtful words at someone.

Physical bullying is when someone hurts you with a punch, kick, bite, slap, and more. They could also use other items to hurt or throw.
